I know it’s 2012 because the RNC sent me my new card and request for more money. They’ve double the minimum this year, not unexpected for an election year. It’s time to pony up and put some money in the till to vote the bum out. Money of course won’t do it unless we have a candidate that can do it. That selection process has begun with the Iowa caucus votes. Romney has managed to squeak out a victory, no small task with the Iowa format. We’ll get a better read on the candidates strength in NH and SC. Bachman is out, great principles, not enough organization this time around. Hopefully Perry and Huntsman will see the writing on the wall soon so we can get down to a reasonable number of choices. Romney, Gingrich, Santorum and Paul. I guess I would vote for even Paul over Obama, although that would be under duress and I don’t think it will come to that. I can live with any of the other three and hold my head up higher than when McCain was the candidate. I would like to see Romney as the nominee, only because he has the organization and resources to beat Obama, which is the number one goal. Santorum will have a “who is he?” problem with a vindictive media that will call him a religious nut job. Gingrich has too much baggage and is likely to do something monumentally stupid before November, like sit on Pelosi’s knee again.

Romney 2012!
